Daisie Bindoff

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography)

My practice is concerned with space, form and surface. I tend to work intuitively and without much pre-planning. Periods of activity and stagnation form part of my process. I like trying out different materials and enjoy the incidental outcomes that can arise from experimentation. These incidental outcomes often inform successive works.

I collect materials and hold onto them before deciding where or how to use them. I prefer to observe these items within a chosen space before committing. Taking time to look is important and having a detailed exchange between my environment and the final installation is common. The same spaces are often revisited with different outcomes.
