VCA ART 2022

Kezia Yap

Master of Fine Art

I am a composer and artist working on stolen Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung land interested in the use of space and silence to expand my compositional practice. Making work across music, sound, installation and performance, I explore musical scores and their potential to invite close, critical listening, evoke musical experiences, and propose alternative ways to engage with various extramusical ideas. My work pushes the boundaries of discipline, medium, and sensory experience, traversing settings where we experience art – from the home to the concert hall and the gallery.
