Like a reconstructed set, detached from its movie origins. Here in the silence, the spaces are in confusion, being both made and demolished. The materiality is familiar yet unremarkable. What is made, is perhaps like the inner rooms that accompany us through being. A stage where images and ideas can be formed in the privacy of our fears and desires, influenced by the mechanisms of society.
The props that dress these sets are facades waiting to be revealed. A drum roll is required and yet the same looped music plays on repeat. In this place of waiting, one’s body grows old. Its shadow, like a residue of time, lingers in place of what is calling one forward. Mundane beauty is muddied against naive fictions.
