Marina Rolfe

Master of Contemporary Art

My practice is positioned between modes of representation and abstraction. Landscapes, with their organic forms, play the role of ‘structure’; within this structure lies the possibility of depiction beyond representation. I am interested in the exploration of new places that are created by utilising intricate and advanced methods of composition, layering colours, and applying textures.
