My practice examines mass culture, alternate histories, and image making. Mapping
coincidence and chance, I use analogue and digital photographic processes to
examine hidden narratives and the role of cultural documents. Drawing on filmic
language, my practice draws heavily on research methodologies and archival
material, recontextualising and separating images from their point of origin. By
remaking and rephotographing forgotten items, I create new documents and records;
images with unreliable or distorted histories, reported from an imaginary yet still
recognisable field.
