VCA ART 2022

Remy Spanos

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography)

The immaterial and elusive is what compels me to image making. In the blurry images is the life we can’t name, that escapes the frame and moves around us as a feeling. I shoot exclusively on medium format plastic cameras, and the process of developing and darkroom printing is where the unembodied intersects the handmade in my practice. The ambience in these installations is cohesively defined by the presence of the handmade, and the celebration of collecting and adorning.
