Rosa Spring Voss

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography)

In her book For Now, poet Eileen Myles states “At this point in life it's all about the return.” This body of photographic and sculptural work stems from my experiences and interpretation of returning and the complexity of representing family and home. As I was printing, I found movement and devotion to be key in the making of this world. By devotion, I mean the careful space and energy given to the subject and process and the subsequent presentation of it; and by movement, I mean the way we orient ourselves in relation to others. I’m drawn to situations and encounters in my practice where expression of vulnerability and intimacy can be cultivated and shared.
