Graduate Certificate of Visual Art

The passage of time and what remains
The beauty found within ruin
The past dwelling in our present
The compass by which we navigate – faint, blurred and mutating.

Intrigued by the juxtapositions embedded within the human experience, my practice seeks to explore the evolution of our collective past and present.

By means of immersion in biological, psychological and the behavioural sciences, I seek to observe and reframe our understanding of ourselves as a species. I am intrigued by relationships amongst global communities and the significance of the non-human in our capability.

I aim to capture flashes of intrigue, beauty, or humour in unconventional, benign, distressing, and stirring moments. We search and discover as we build our sanctuaries, a transience depicted with recollections, gaps, and layers.
