What happens when images torn from the flood of media and information culture are reconfigured to register as low frequency apparitions? My work utilises both print processes and the substructure of painting as frame and context to present sampled imageries and their unbound semantic residues. Forming new textures of subterranean emotional and conceptual affect, these images still manage to resist complete decay and dissolution. Instead, they are halted and stilled midway on the path to abstraction.
