VCA ART 2022

Raisa Mclean

Honours

My work is currently navigating a practice of visual song-making to create a malleable relation between subjects, the audience and myself. Working with things unfinished - wire maquetttes, duct taped pieces of metal prepped for sandblasting and clear PVC furniture covers pierced through with texts. The works act as sketches or scaffolds of inaccurate memories that I connect with the filmic idea of vignettes. Installed together the pieces form a non-specific but declarative collage of intimate memory, with each work confounding the narrative of the other.
