I reach in and draw out fractured pieces of a realm that exists in my mind and which then finds physical form by travelling from my fingertips into clay. These fingers imbue domestic creatures and architectural ruins with liveliness. One may question their functionality and tool-like purpose, perhaps observing the armature-like limbs that enable them to stand, alert to their surroundings. They exist, possessed by the possibility that fragments of my own energy have been transferred to their seemingly inanimate forms. Thinking about both the practical and purposeless objects we decorate our lives with, I hope these friendly objects find affection and a space to live within the home.
