My practice is primarily text-based, employing advertising materials and techniques in painting-like objects and wall text. My work explores the networked landscape through my perception of individual experience, characterised by a detached amoral perspective. Recently I have been investigating the intermediary space between online identity and physical embodiment, elucidating the palpable dysfunction around me. I take inspiration from conceptual practices that foster intimacy with the viewer. The medium obscures the text and renders the pieces difficult to photograph, prompting an in-person viewing. I like to play with the authoritative nature of text-based art by using phrases that are intentionally vague, leaving the work fractured and multiple.
