Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting)

In my Homer Series, I used Homer Simpson's portrait as a formal painting structure to investigate the labour of art-making, as well as the Americanisation of Australian spaces. By repeating the cartoon icon, the artist is relieved of engaging in a genuine spiritual experience, moving instead towards an alien, mechanical contact with art.
